Abstract(s)
e disfunção executiva, quanto maior é a funcionalidade executiva menor é a ideação
suicida.
ABSTRACT: Our study pretends to investigate in a first moment if there is a relationship between Executive dysfunction (planning and problem solving), and suicide ideation in adolescent, in a second moment, we divided the adolescence population in to three age groups. Based on cognitive development (executive functions), to analyse if that variable in conjunction with dissecutive functions had efffects of interaction on suicide ideation. We excluded subjects with neurological disease, and damages of brain trauma on the population studied, in sense of make a more clarifying analysis between the relation of dissecutive functions (planing and problem resolutions), suicide ideation and there interaction with age. For the study, we applied the Suicide Ideation Questionnaire (QIS) and a computerized test of executive functions, named Stockings of Cambridge (SOC), using a measure of problem solving of SOC with the greater degree of difficulty of the test. The results point to a negative and significative correlation between suicide ideation and executive dysfunction: higher results in executive function are in relation with low results in suicide ideation. This study, also revealed that the results of suicide ideation are not influenciated by age, that don`t exists an effect of interaction between age and executive dysfunction, but exists an effect of executive dysfunctions within suicide ideation, the subjects that presented executive dysfunction revealed significatively more elevated values in suicide ideation.
