Abstract(s)
Tanto no decorrer do tratamento
referentes a estes estudos.
submetidos a tratamentos oncológicos sistémicos.
ABSTRACT: Introduction: Cancer is one of the deadliest diseases in the world, but due to advances in medicine there are more survivors. However, both during and after treatment, a significant number of patients complain of cognitive problems, particularly in memory and attention. Cancer-related cognitive impairment (CRCI) is the name given to the recurring phenomenon associated with the cognitive effects of cancer. In addition to the symptoms of CRCI, it is becoming increasingly clear that other factors such as psychological factors (depression, stress and anxiety) play a role in both cognitive decline and the quality of life of these patients. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the results of these studies. Objective: To systematically review the existing literature to explore the association between psychological factors and cognitive impairment in patients undergoing systemic treatment for cancer. Method: A systematic search was carried out in the following databases: PubMed/MEDLINE, EBSCO, Web of Science and Scopus. Results: 19716 articles were identified and after a screening process 47 articles were included in the systematic review. Conclusion: A large percentage of the studies reveal that psychological factors such as depression, anxiety and stress are correlated with the cognitive functions of patients with cancer.
