Abstract(s)
bem-estar afetivo.
afetivo.
ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to investigate how the level of tenacity of an exerciser can contribute to their performance in physical exercise. In this sense, the mediating role of self-efficacy and affective well-being in the relationship between tenacity and performance was also investigated. The data was collected through an online survey completed by 212 physical exercisers. The results support the study's hypotheses, showing that tenacity positively influences performance and that this relationship is mediated by self-efficacy and affective well-being. Thus, exercisers with greater tenacity show better performance. The results obtained contribute to a deeper understanding of the effect of tenacity on performance in physical exercise and the psychological processes involved in this relationship, specifically the mediation of self-efficacy and affective well-being. However, it is not possible to generalise the results to other sporting contexts, nor infer causal relationships, given the cross-sectional nature of the study. nature of the study. The study revealed interesting practical implications for both physical exercise practitioners and coaches, namely in the design and implementation of programmes to promote individual tenacity, performance and affective well-being.
