Abstract(s)
O presente estudo apresenta como objectivo analisar qual o papel que o tipo e a abrangĂȘncia
cultural desempenham na promoção da aprendizagem organizacional, operacionalizada em termos
do funcionamento de mecanismos de aprendizagem organizacional. Os dados foram recolhidos,
via questionĂĄrio, em trĂȘs departamentos distintos. Os resultados encontrados, atravĂ©s da realização
de uma ANOVA, apoiam a hipĂłtese de que o departamento que apresenta predominantemente
uma cultura de apoio denota uma maior aprendizagem. A hipĂłtese que postula que o departamento
onde o tipo de cultura de apoio é predominante apresenta uma maior percepção de eficåcia
em termos de aprendizagem, foi parcialmente confirmada, com o recurso a testes não paramétricos.
A terceira hipĂłtese, que indica que o departamento com maior abrangĂȘncia cultural apresenta maior
aprendizagem, foi, igualmente, confirmada. Serão também discutidas as principais conclusÔes e
implicaçÔes do estudo.
In this study we discuss the role of cultural type and cultural breadth on organizational learning. Organizational learning is here operationalized as the optimal functioning of Organizational Learning Mechanisms (OLM). Data were collected via questionnaire in three different departments. Results confirmed the hypothesis that the department with higher support culture evidences higher learning. The hypothesis that the department with higher support culture evidences higher learning perceived effectiveness was partially confirmed. The third hypothesis, that the department with cultural breadth evidences higher learning was also confirmed. In the end, we discuss the main conclusions and implications of this study.
