Abstract(s)
desempenho organizacional.
ABSTRACT: Job satisfaction is a crucial variable for workers' well-being and organizational performance. However, the constant changes that characterize the current reality can have a negative impact, making it essential to investigate individual differences in how workers adapt to these contexts. Thus, the main objective of this dissertation was to investigate the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and job satisfaction, and how adaptive performance may mediate this interaction. By administering a questionnaire to a total of 235 participants, the results of this study demonstrated that intolerance of uncertainty is negatively associated with job satisfaction, with adaptive performance acting as a partial mediator of this interaction. This study highlighted the negative impact of the individual differences among workers when facing job uncertainty and the importance of adaptive capacity in this context. Based on these results, organizations should invest in learning cultures that foster employees adaptive capacity in changing environments, to foster their well-being and satisfaction.
