Abstract(s)
Objectivo: Identificar, categorizar, qual o nível de coincidências de eventos significativos
(ES) que emergem na díade em psicoterapia existencial; análise dos níveis de ajuda destes ES;
46,4% do total.
consequentes resultados.
ABSTRACT: Aim: Identify, categorize, which level of coincidence of significant events (SE) that emerge in the dyad in existential psychotherapy, analysis the levels of help of these SE; what kind of therapeutic practices applied in this study resulted in the emergence of these SE. Method: 10 dyads participated in the therapeutic process in existential paradigm. They filled out a form after each session, where they were asked to described the helpful and hindering events, and also what level of help assign to the event. We used the qualitative method Grounded Theory. Results: From the dyads we found coincident SE 222, which correspond 46.4% of the total. 5 subcategories representing 87% of those SE: verbalization/exploring feelings and experiences, identification and deepening of meanings; awareness; challenge/confrontation/questioning, perception of change/empowerment. At help levels we found 28 coincidences in 111 (25%), with participants these events considered these events have provided help levels 4 and 5. The more applied practices (6/17) represent 60% of the total (120/201). Conclusions: Note was the high percentage of coincidences in SE. Differs from studies of other theoretical approaches the subcategory of the therapist/practice, calling attention to the mode of being from psychotherapist of the existential paradigm. There seems to be a relationship between the 5 main subcategories and 6 main practices applied from the psychotherapists. We consider important, the high levels allocated in the levels of help identified in those SE. The therapeutic encounter is the support base from this dynamic.
