ABSTRACT: The main purpose of this qualitative case-study research is to observe a home-basead early intervention program which was implemented with a child diagnosed with developmental delay and his family and evaluate the degree of family-centeredness. To evaluate this program, the support sessions were observed for 6 months, with participant observation techniques. We have also conducted 2 semi-structured interviews with the mother and the early intervention professional, in the beginning and at the end of program. We concluded that in this program, this pre-school teacher implemented family-centered practices. During the sessions the behaviours that occurred more frequently, were interactions between mother and early intervention professional, when they were speaking about child development and several other issues. The results of this study seem to show that the implemented practices follow all the recommended practices in early intervention
