“Pai, conta-me uma história”: A importância do pai no desenvolvimento da auto-estima nas crianças

O objectivo deste estudo é avaliar a importância do pai no desenvolvimento da auto-estima da
criança, independentemente de estar ou não inserida numa família parental. No entanto, a
escolha da amostra a aplicar reflecte uma preocupação na tentativa de aferir a influência do
sexo da criança e da estrutura familiar em que ela se insere.
No contexto actual das “novas famílias”, cada vez menos estereotipadas, será importante
perceber a importância do papel do Pai e o seu contributo no desenvolvimento da auto-estima
de uma criança.
Com esta tese, pretende-se obter um guia orientador de apoio para os Pais no sentido de os
ajudar a perceber qual a melhor forma de desenvolver a relação com os seus filhos,
independentemente do sexo ou estrutura familiar.
The purpose of this study is to assess the importance of fathers in the development of selfesteem of children, regardless of whether it is inserted into a parental family. However, the choice to apply the sample reflects a concern in an attempt to gauge the influence of gender and family structure in which it falls. In the current context of "new families", becoming less stereotypical, it will be important to realize the importance of the Father role and his contribution in the development of selfesteem of a child. With this thesis, seeks to obtain a guide to support parents and help them understand a better way to develop the relationship with their children, regardless of gender or family structure.
