| dc.description.abstract | A prostituição é o tema central deste trabalho e alguns autores realçam a sua complexidade e as múltiplas variáveis para esse comportamento. Diante dessas escolhas, as questões de investigação deste estudo baseiam-se na existência de estratégias utilizadas pelas mulheres durante o processo de separação que fazem do contexto familiar e laboral e ainda as ambivalências vividas acerca da prostituição, sendo esta, fonte de sofrimento e prazer. Foi utilizada a abordagem qualitativa e desvendada através das narrativas de três participantes, a diversidade de razões para a entrada e a permanência na prostituição, as suas trajetórias de vida, as constantes perdas, violências e descontinuidade afetiva que permearam esse percurso e deixaram marcas físicas e psicológicas. Constatando assim a considerável relevância que essas fragilidades têm na constituição da própria subjetividade e identidade. Estas mulheres expressam as adversidades encontradas no cotidiano do trabalho sexual comercial e também o significado que este tem para cada uma delas. Foi possível constatar que o caracter da relação é determinante na utilização ou não do preservativo e ainda, algumas estratégias de segurança utilizadas pelas participantes de forma a se protegerem física e emocionalmente. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: Prostitution is the central theme of this work, and some authors highlight its' complexity and the multiple variables for this behavior. Considering these choices, the investigative questions in this study are based on the existence of strategies utilized by the women during the process of separating the family and work contexts, and also the ambivalences about prostitution, being it a source of pleasure and suffering. We unveil through the participants' narratives, the diversity of reasons for entering and staying in prostitution, their life trajectories, the constant loss, violence and affective discontinuity that permeated their way and that left psychological and physical marks. Finding then the considerable relevance that these fragilities have in the formation of self subjectiveness and identity. These women tell of the adversities found in daily commercial sex work and also it's meaning to each of them. It was found that the character of the relationship is determining in the use or lack of condom, and also some safety strategies used by the participants to protect themselves physical and emotionally. | pt_PT |
