Abstract(s)
terapia familiar.
funcionamento familiar (Recursos Familiares (RF), Comunicação Familiar (CF) e Dificuldades
ABSTRACT: This study aimed to compare the assessment of the Therapeutic Alliance and Family functioning, at three moments of the therapeutic process, in two families, in family therapy. Considering Minuchin's Structural theory, about family functioning, and the triple formulation of Bordin's Therapeutic Alliance concept, we intend to intertwine the perceptions that family members and the therapist have about the Therapeutic Alliance and the assessment they make of their family functioning. We used the Family Therapy Alliance Observation System(s), from the point of view of clients and the therapist, in its dimensions of Alliance Strengths and Alliance Difficulties and the SCORE-15, in the areas of family functioning, Family Resources (FR), Family Communication (FC) and Family Difficulties (FD). in order to contribute to the way in which therapists can adjust their interventions, in order to strengthen AT, and achieve more success in therapy. Two families who resorted to family therapy participated in this study, filling out self-report questionnaires for the two selected instruments. We found, after running the statiscal proof os ANOVA one way, that there are no significant differences in the perception of TA between family members and the therapist, as well as in the way they perceive the areas of their family functioning. Finally, the results indicated areas of conflict and communication difficulties opening doors for the adjustment of therapeutic intervention. These results have important implications for both practice and research, highlighting the importance of building and maintaining a strong therapeutic alliance throughout therapy sessions and the role of family functioning.
