O momento presente na relação terapêutica

O presente trabalho de investigação debruça-se sobre a compreensão do conceito de
momento presente, enquanto momento de mudança na relação terapêutica. Para o estudo do
fenómeno em contexto psicoterapêutico, interessa conhecer a vivência dos terapeutas quanto à
sua espontaneidade e o seu foco nos elementos implícitos na relação da díade. Na recolha da
informação foi utilizada uma metodologia qualitativa, através da entrevista fenomenológica
descritiva aplicada aos sujeitos, com a qual se pretendeu obter descrições das suas
experiências face ao fenómeno do momento presente na relação com o paciente. A leitura dos
significados psicológicos apurados nas descrições, permite afirmar que os momentos de
mudança nem sempre são identificados pelo terapeuta ou são, por vezes, atribuídos a algo
inesperado que surge no contexto terapêutico.
ABSTRACT: This research focuses on the understanding of the concept of present moment, as being the moment of change in the therapeutic relationship. On the study of this phenomenon in psychotherapeutic context, the basis is the experience of therapists with its spontaneity and focus on implicit elements in therapeutic relationship. The gathering of the data was based upon a qualitative methodology through phenomenological description interview applied to subjects, with the descriptions of their experiences related to the present moment in therapeutic setting. The psychological meanings in the descriptions, point that changing moments are not always identified by the therapist and sometimes are related to the unexpected that arises in the context of therapy.
