dc.description.abstract	O presente estudo tem como principal objetivo investigar e compreender a experiência subjetiva de pacientes com diagnóstico de perturbação bipolar, isto é, pretende-se perceber o fenómeno doença bipolar através do olhar de quem convive com a mesma. Para este estudo, a metodologia utilizada debruça-se no método fenomenológico de Amedeo Giorgi, de modo que seja possível alcançar uma descrição final com os constituintes essenciais e invariantes desta experiência subjetiva. A amostra é constituída por cinco participantes, dois do sexo feminino e três do sexo masculino, com idades compreendias entre os 46 e 56 anos. Nos resultados serão apresentados os sete constituintes essenciais que foram delineados com base nas entrevistas deste estudo, sendo eles o posicionamento em relação à doença, as oscilações de humor características desta, o sofrimento psicológico, a identificação que fazem com outros, o reconhecimento e valorização das próprias capacidades, a rede de suporte que é um ponto fundamental para o bem-estar, e por fim, o reconhecimento da terapia. O presente estudo foi realizado com a finalidade de facilitar a compreensão do fenómeno da doença bipolar por parte dos profissionais de saúde. Para além de já existirem estudos qualitativos que abordem esta temática, em Portugal os estudos são escassos por isso, é necessário que sejam feitos estudos qualitativos com base nos testemunhos dos indivíduos que convivam com a perturbação bipolar, de modo que haja um maior entendimento sobre esta temática. Um ponto inovador deste estudo diz respeito aos constituintes presentes nesta investigação nunca antes estudados.	pt_PT
dc.description.abstract	ABSTRACT: The present study has as main objective, investigate and understand the subjective experience of patients with diagnosis of bipolar disorder, by other words, we intend to understand the phenomenon bipolar disease through the eyes of those who live with it. For this study, the methodology used is based on the phenomenological method of Amedeo Giorgi, in order to achieve a final description with the essential and invariant constituents of this subjective experience. The sample it’s consisted by five participants, two females and three males, aged between 46 and 56 years. The results will be presented with the seven essential constituents that were delineated based on the interviews of this study, being them the positioning in relation to the disease, the humor oscillations characteristic of it, the psychological suffering, the identification that they do with others, the recognition and valorization of their own capabilities, the network of support that is a fundamental point for the well-being, and, finally, the recognition of the therapy. The present study was carried out with the purpose of facilitating the understanding of the phenomenon of bipolar disease by health professionals. In spite of the existence of qualitative studies that address this issue, studies in Portugal are scarce and it is therefore necessary to conduct qualitative studies based on the testimonies of individuals living with bipolar disorder, in order to have a greater understanding on this subject. An innovative point of this study concerns constituents present in this research never before studied.	pt_PT
