Relação entre a qualidade de vinculação e o sentimento de solidão em adolescentes: Diferenças no género

Alguns estudos apontam para uma associação entre a vinculação insegura e o sentimento de solidão em jovens adultos. Sendo assim, o presente trabalho teve como objectivo estudar a relação entre a qualidade de vinculação e o sentimento de solidão, em jovens adolescentes, com ênfase para a diferenciação de género. Os participantes são 97 adolescentes (52 do sexo feminino e 45 do sexo masculino), com idades compreendidas entre os 10 e os 18 anos, a frequentar o 7º, 8º e 9º anos de escolaridade, de uma escola da região da Grande Lisboa. A qualidade da vinculação foi avaliada através da Kerns Security Scale (Kerns, Klepac & Cole, 1996) e o Sentimento de Solidão através da Relational Provision Questionnaire (Hayden, 1989).
Foram encontradas alguma diferenças significativas no concerne à qualidade de vinculação e o sentimento de solidão, nomeadamente ao nível do género.
ABSTRACT: Some studies point to an association between insecure attachment and feelings of loneliness in young adults. Therefore, this study aimed to study the relationship between quality of attachment and loneliness, in young adolescents, with emphasis on gender differentiation. The participants are 97 adolescents (52 females and 45 males), with aged between 10 and 18 and are students of 7th, 8th and 9th grades, at a school of the Lisbon area. The quality of the Attachment was assessed by Kerns Security Scale (Kerns, Klepac & Cole, 1996) and Feelings of Loneliness by Relational Provision Questionnaire (Hayden, 1989).
