Abstract(s)
identidades sociais (e.g. Snellman e Raty, 1995), e
This research try to answer to two relevant problems in the field of the empirical productions about the relationships between social representations of intelligence an development and social identities. The first problem concerns to different levels of the social representations anchorage: on socio-educational objective insertions, which are very common taken as social identities (Snelmman and Raty, 1995, for example), and on social identities operationalized in terms of selfcategorization and identification to relevant categories. The second problem concerns to the predictive level of the refereed objective social insertions and social identities in what concerns to the representational answers. Taking the profession (teachers versus non teachers) and the motherhood status (mothers versus non mothers) as independent variables, we analyse the sociological anchorage level. We analyse the psicosociological anchorage proceeding by the selfcategorization and identification measures to the categories «Teacher » and «Mother». Results shows differences between the two levels of anchorage. To answer to the second problem , we conduct a multiple regression analysis and the results shows that the stereotypes and selfcategorizations explain more variance of the representational answers than the objective insertions in socio-educational space.
