texto procura reflectir sobre os percursos passados
e presentes da disciplina de História da Educação,
numa análise de âmbito internacional e nacional, que
se estende por quatro pontos principais: Génese e
desenvolvimento da disciplina nos séculos XIX e XX,
as questões do ensino, os problemas da investigação e
os debates actuais. Toda a argumentação procura chamar
a atenção para a importância das interrogações
que atravessam, hoje em dia, o trabalho histórico-educativo,
nomeadamente no nosso país. Ao longo do ensaio
defende-se a História da Educação não numa
perspectiva disciplinar (corporativa), mas antes na
convicção de que é impossível travar os debates educativos,
de forma avisada e consciente, sem a presença
de uma reflexão histórica.
ABSTRACT: This text is an international and national analysis of the past and present paths of the History of Education, focused on four main points: Origins and development of this discipline through centuries 19th and 20th, teaching questions, research problems and the current discussions. All the reasoning tries to focus on the importance of the questioning nowadays going through historical-educational work, namely in our country. Throughout the exposition, the History of Education is viewed not in a disciplinary perspective (corporative) but profoundly believing that it is impossible to seriously discuss education without the presence of an historical reflection.
