| dc.description.abstract | O objectivo do estudo é compreender as relações que existem entre a comunicação não verbal e o estilo instrucional dos treinadores de futebol, com a finalidade de complementar as análises sobre os seus comportamentos com a comunicação não verbal adjacente. Foi utilizada a versão adaptada e reduzida do Sistema de Observação de Comportamentos de Treinadores – Coach Behavioral Assesssment System, CBAS, Smith et al., 1977), e o Sistema de Observação de Comunicação Não Verbal (SOCNV, Garcia-Mas, Castanho e Almeida, 2007) com um conjunto de treinadores de futebol juvenil de cariz competitivo. Os resultados apresentam o perfil comunicacional não verbal dos treinadores em estudo, mostram a existência de relações entre os distintos estilos instrucionais e algumas categorias específicas da Comunicação Não Verbal (Por exemplo Contacto Visual, Expressão Facial, Postura Corporal, ainda Postura Corporal ou Tom e Ritmo de Voz) diferenciando claramente os estilos Punição, Instrução ou Reforçador. Por último, é abordado o possível significado das características da Comunicação Não Verbal associada a cada estilo de Comportamento; as possíveis aplicações do instrumento de observação de Comunicação Não Verbal e as limitações do Estudo. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study is to find the relationships between the Non Verbal Communication and the Instructional style of several soccer coaches, in order to try to complement the analysis of the coaches’ behaviors with their non-verbal communication. We applied an adapted and short version of the Coach Behavioral Assessment System, (CBAS, Smith et al., 1977), and the Non-verbal Communication Observation System (SOCNV, Garcia-Mas, Castanho and Almeida, 2007) on a group of youth competitive soccer coaches. The results shown for each coach his own non-verbal style and the existence of several relationships between the instructional styles and several Non-verbal communication categories (as the visual contact, the facial expression, the body posture, or the voice tone and rhythm), obtaining a clear differentiation among the Punitive, Instructional o Supporting instructional styles. Lastly, we discuss the possible meaning of the Nonverbal Communication features associated with each instructional style; the future application of the SOCNV for to observe the coaches’ Non-verbal Communication styles, and the limitations of this study. | pt_PT |
