A masturbação feminina: Abordagem de um tabu

Este estudo tem como propósito abordar o tema da masturbação feminina através da literatura científica de estudos empíricos, com o intuito de desmistificar algumas crenças mais tradicionais e menos permissivas, relativamente a esta prática. A argumentação é subdividida em cinco capítulos. A discussão enfatiza a masturbação feminina ao longo da história e na sociedade, as diferenças de género, a influência social e religiosa, os factores associados à prática masturbatória entre as mulheres e a perspectiva fisiológica desta. Concluímos, que uma nova e multidisciplinar investigação é necessária acerca desta temática, e que as mulheres têm obtido maior capacidade de expressarem livremente a sua sexualidade, e com essa libertação, a possibilidade de verificarmos maior prática masturbatória entre as mulheres nas gerações modernas.
ABSTRACT: This study is to address the issue of female masturbation through the scientific literature of empirical studies. In order to demystify some beliefs, more traditional and less permissive, the argument is divided into five chapters. The discussion focuses on female masturbation throughout history and in society, differences of gender, religious and social influence, the factors associated with masturbation among women, and the physiological prospect. We conclude that a new and multidisciplinary research is needed on this issue. Women have achieved greater ability to freely express their sexuality, and with this release, the opportunity to observe more masturbation practice among women, in the modern generations.
