Bem-estar subjectivo: Jovens institucionalizados e jovens em família

Este estudo tem como objectivo compreender se existem diferenças entre a
percepção de Bem-Estar em jovens institucionalizados e jovens não
institucionalizados, com idades compreendidas entre os 12 e os 15 anos.
A amostra foi constituida por 34 jovens, 17 a residir numa instituição e 17 a
viver com a familia. Partindo do KIDSCREEN 52 elaborou-se a ESCALA DE BEM
ESTAR SUBJECTIVO constituida por 65 itens distribuidos por 7 dimensões (saúde,
bem-estar subjectivo/auto-percepção, apoio social, percepção sobre a própria
vida,questões económicas, amigos e percepção sobre a escola).
A análise dos resultados obtidos permitiu-nos verificar que apenas foram
encontradas diferenças nas dimensões apoio social, percepção sobre a própria vida e
questões económicas. Os resultados indicam-nos que a nivel da percepção global de
Bem-Estar estes jovens não apresentam diferenças, mas que nas três dimensões
referidas os jovens não institucionalizados têm melhores resultados.
This study is designed to understand if there are differences between the perception of Wellness in young institutionalized and non-institutionalized people, with ages from 12 to 15 years old. The sample was composed of 34 young people, 17 of wich reside in an institution and 17 that live with their family. Starting from KIDSCREEN 52, the SCALE OF SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING was drawn, consisting of 65 items distributed in 7 dimensions (health, subjective well-being / self-perception, social support, life perception, economic issues, friends and school perceptions). The analysis of the obtained results allowed us to verify that the only differences found were in the these dimensions: social support, life perception and economic issues. The results indicate that the level of the overall Wellness perception of these young people do not differ, but in these three, above mentioned, dimensions non-institutionalized young people have better results.
