Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho tem como objectivo a análise do perfil psicológico de Leonardo da
Vinci. Este estudo apresenta uma base de investigação qualitativa, mais especificamente uma
junção da metodologia de estudo de caso com a pesquisa histórica (que comporta a análise de
conteúdo). A infância de Da Vinci é caracterizada por uma excessiva presença feminina e por
consecutivos abandonos paternos. As consequências desta infância levaram Leonardo a
identificar-se apenas a mulheres, levando-o no futuro a procurar objectos de amor
homossexuais e à sua imagem, tal como Narcíso. Na vida adulta, Leonardo apresenta uma
característica narcísica, bem como um carácter obsessivo bastante acentuado. Nos seus
trabalhos, Leonardo projecta todas as suas emoções, bem como momentos relevantes da sua
vida. A necessidade de controlo, o investimento excessivo no pensamento, a ausência de vida
sexual, a dimensão agressiva contida e a necessidade de “voar” da sua vida, são apenas
algumas das características que se identificam em Da Vinci. No entanto, é através da sua arte
que surge um momento saudável da sua vida psíquica. No entanto, a sua incapacidade de
terminar a maioria das suas obras, dado o seu carácter perfeccionista, obsessivo e meticuloso,
prejudicaram-no em muito, bem como a presença de uma reputação homossexual. Assim
sendo, o estudo do perfil psicológico de Da Vinci revela a estrutura de uma neurose obsessiva,
que se torna evidente, bem como a presença bastante acentuada de uma característica
narcísica
ABSTRACT: The present work has as objective the analysis of the psychological profile of Leonardo da Vinci. This study presents a qualitative study as base, more specifically, it is a union between the methodology of case study with historical research (it include a contents analysis). Da Vinci‟s childhood is characterized by an excessive feminine presence and regular abandons by his father. The consequences of a childhood like this, took Leonardo to identify himself to only woman‟s, this fact will take Leonardo, in the future, to choose an homosexual object of love and has his image, just like Narcíso did. In his adulthood, Leonardo presents a narcissistic characteristic, has well as an obsessive character. In his works, Leonardo projects his emotions, has well as the most relevant moments of his life. His necessities to control, his excessive investment in his thoughts, his absence of sexual life, his enclosed aggressiveness, and his necessity to “fly” away his life, are just some characteristics than identifies Da Vinci. However, is thru the art that he does a healthy movement in his mental life. He‟s incapacity to finish his work, because of his perfectionist, obsessive and meticulous character, harmed himself, has well has is homosexual reputation. This way, the study of the psychological profile of Leonardo da Vinci reveals an obsessive neurosis structure, as well as a very strong presence of narcissistic characteristics.
