| dc.description.abstract | Enquadramento: A prática de chemsex tem suscitado crescente interesse na pesquisa psicológica. O presente estudo teve como principal objetivo descrever as especificidades da prática de chemsex entre adultos LGB e heterossexuais em Portugal, assim como avaliar o impacto no bem-estar mental e a sua relação com o apoio social destes indivíduos. Como tal, foi necessário perceber se pessoas com maior envolvimento no chemsex e maior frequência na sua prática, apresentam níveis significativamente mais baixos de bem-estar e apoio social; os indivíduos LGB têm um envolvimento e frequência na prática de chemsex significativamente maior comparativamente aos adultos heterossexuais; prevê-se também que a população LGB praticantes de chemsex irão apresentar níveis de bem-estar e de apoio social significativamente mais baixos, comparativamente aos adultos heterossexuais; a verificação de correlações moderadas a fortes entre o bem-estar e o apoio social dos participantes. Método: 67 adultos entre os 18 e os 57 anos responderam a um questionário online. Resultados: Verificam-se diferenças significativas para o nível de AEI nos grupos Casual e Viciante relativamente ao envolvimento no chemsex; as variáveis Frequência de Chemsex e Orientação sexual são significativamente dependentes entre si; pode-se verificar ainda que existem diferenças significativas para o nível de AEI em função da orientação sexual, sendo que o grupo heterossexual também verificar que existem diferenças significativas para o nível EAS total em função da orientação sexual; as correlações entre a OMS-5 e os Índices da Escala de Apoio Social no Grupo LGB são bastante mais elevadas e significativas comparando com o grupo hétero. Discussão: Os resultados estão em conformidade com a literatura no que diz respeito à variável apoio social, bem como, no que concerne à discrepância do envolvimento e frequência dos indivíduos LGB. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: Background: The practice of chemsex has aroused growing interest in psychological research. The main objective of the present study was to describe the specificities of chemsex practice among LGB and heterosexual adults in Portugal, as well as to assess the impact on mental wellbeing and its relationship with the social support of these individuals. As such, it was necessary to understand whether people with greater involvement in chemsex and greater frequency in its practice have significantly lower levels of well-being and social support; LGB individuals have significantly greater involvement and frequency in chemsex practice compared to heterosexual adults; it is also predicted that the LGB population practising chemsex will have significantly lower levels of well-being and social support compared to heterosexual adults; the verification of moderate to strong correlations between the well-being and social support of the participants. Method: 67 adults aged between 18 and 57 answered an online questionnaire. Results: Significant differences were found for the level of EAS in the Casual and Addictive groups in relation to involvement in chemsex; the variables Frequency of Chemsex and Sexual Orientation are significantly dependent on each other; it can also be seen that there are significant differences for the level of EAS according to sexual orientation, with the heterosexual group also finding that there are significant differences for the total EAS level according to sexual orientation; the correlations between the WHO-5 and the Social Support Scale Indexes in the LGB Group are much higher and more significant compared to the straight group. Discussion: The results are in line with the literature regarding the social support variable, as well as regarding the discrepancy in the involvement and frequency of LGB individuals. | pt_PT |
