As representações maternas durante a gravidez na adolescência e a relação precoce mãe-bebé: Estudo de caso

O presente trabalho é um estudo exploratório sobre as representações maternas na gravidez adolescente e
posterior relação mãe-bebé, através de um estudo de caso com uma díade. Os instrumentos utilizados são a
entrevista inicial de recolha de dados, a entrevista semi-directiva sobre as representações maternas (IRMAG), a
observação da relação mãe-bebé segundo Esther Bick, e a análise de conteúdo. A gravidez adolescente requer
uma dupla adaptação interna de reorganização da identidade e do equilíbrio psíquico, dificultando a formação de
representações maternas integradas (de si como mãe e do bebé) durante a gravidez e, dessa forma, a relação mãebebé.
Por ser um estudo de caso, o presente trabalho não pretende a confirmação de hipóteses, mas a contribuição
para uma melhor compreensão da construção, e implicação, das representações maternas na gravidez adolescente
e na relação mãe-bebé.
This work is an exploratory study about maternal representations in teenage pregnancy and later mother-baby relationship, developed through a case study with a dyad. The instruments used were an initial interview for the gathering of data, the semi-directive interview about maternal representations (IRMAG), mother-baby relationship observation according to Esther Bick and content analysis. Teenage pregnancy requires a double internal adaptation for the reorganization of identity and psychic balance, rendering the formation of integrated maternal representations (of herself as a mother and of the baby) difficult during pregnancy and, as a consequence, the mother-baby relationship. Being a case study, this work does not aspire to confirm hypothesis but rather to contribute to a better understanding of the construction and implication of maternal representations in teenage pregnancies and of the mother-baby relationship.
