Abstract(s)
A diabetes é, normalmente, associada a uma vivência de algum mal-estar físico e psicológico, facto que poderá contribuir para a diminuição da excitação sexual genital e subjectiva da mulher diabética, o que pode conduzir a uma fraca resposta sexual. O propósito deste estudo é investigar a resposta sexual de 75 mulheres em período reprodutivo, nos diferentes tipos de diabetes, avaliando a sua associação com a depressão e o tipo de relação da díade. Comparar-se-ão os resultados com as respostas obtidas de 60 mulheres saudáveis, equiparadas nas variáveis sociodemográficas. Recorrer-se-á a uma amostra hospitalar recrutada da população diabética que acorre à consulta de endocrinologia de três Hospitais de Lisboa, com idades entre 22 e 42 anos. Optar-se-á por se proceder à utilização dos instrumentos FSFI, DAS, SF- 36 e BDI, a preencher pelas participantes, após o seu consentimento informado. Serão também aplicados uma ficha sociodemográfica e um questionário de satisfação sexual.
ABSTRACT: Diabetes is normally considered to be associated to some lack of physical and psychological well being, which can promote the decrease of genital and subjective arousal in diabetic women and lead to their weak sexual response. This study will be conducted to investigate the effect of diabetes upon female sexual response and to detect its association with possible risk factors that might predict sexual dysfunction, namely, depression and dyadic relationship. The study consists of 75 diabetic fertile woman [22-42] recruited at three hospitals in Lisbon area to be compared with 60 healthy women as a control group within same socio-demographic conditions. All participants will be evaluated through FSFI, DAS, SF-36 and BDI instruments, after their informed consent. A socio-demographic questionnaire and a sexual satisfaction query will also be applied.
