Abstract(s)
O presente estudo tem como objetivo principal avaliar a prevalĂȘncia do abuso sexual de
crianças, bem como as suas caracterĂsticas, numa amostra portuguesa de jovens com idades
compreendidas entre os 18 e os 25 anos. A amostra recolhida Ă© composta por 97 participantes,
que realizaram um questionĂĄrio online. Um total de 17,5% (n=17) dos indivĂduos que
participaram no estudo afirmam terem sido vĂtimas de pelo menos uma forma de abuso sexual
antes dos 11 anos de idade.
Relativamente ao abusador intrafamiliar, cerca de 35% dos participantes vitimizados
afirmam que sĂŁo os indivĂduos pertencentes Ă categoria âPadrastoâ os abusadores mais
frequentes. Por sua vez, no que diz respeito ao abusador extrafamiliar, 18% dos participantes
reportam que sĂŁo os âamigosâ os abusadores mais frequentes.
A presente investigação fornece ainda dados importantes relacionados com o tipo de
abuso sexual, tipo de abusador, idades mĂ©dias associadas Ă s vĂtimas e abusadores, e duração do
abuso.
The present study analyzes the prevalence of child sexual abuse, as well as its characteristics, in a Portuguese sample of young adults between the ages of 18 and 25 years. The sample was composed of 97 participants, who carried out an online questionnaire. A total of 17.5% (n = 17) of the individuals who participated in the study report having been victims of at least one form of sexual abuse before 11 years of age. Concerning the intrafamily abuser, about 35% of the victimized participants affirm that the most frequent abusers belong to the category "Stepfather". On the other hand, with regard to the extrafamilial abuser, 18% of the participants report that "friends" are the most frequent abusers. The present research also provides important data related to the type of sexual abuse, type of abuser, mean ages associated with victims and abusers, and duration of abuse
