Abstract(s)
A literatura sugere
This research aimed to study the role of the variable Growth Seeking as a mediator in the relationship between Emotional Intelligence with Life Satisfaction and Well-Being. Emotional Intelligence is considered by the literature as preponderant in the construction of feelings associated with both Satisfaction and Well-being. The literature suggests also that Growth Seeking might be an important component in the relationship between these variables. To study the proposed mediation hypothesis, a quantitative, correlational approach was used, consisting of a sample of 213 participants with ages between 18 and 63 years old. For data analysis, we used a Structural Model Analysis, which confirmed the proposed mediating hypothesis, in which there is a mediator impact of the variable Growth Seeking on the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Life Satisfaction and Well-Being. This study then presents relevant theoretical implications, contributing to the widening of knowledge regarding the subject in question, since its literature is scarce, as well as practical proposals of possible new variables to be investigated.
