Após uma introdução referente às origens da Técnica da Caixa de Areia e aos outros responsáveis pelo seu estudo e divulgação, o presente artigo descreve as principais fases do desenvolvimento psíquico de acordo com C. G. Jung e Erich Neumann - dois autores em cujas teorias se baseia o processo descrito. Segue-se a caracterização do material utilizado e o procedimento terapêutico. É também descrita a evolução natural dos desenhos de areia e a sua interpretação em termos do desenvolvimento psicológico do trabalho. O artigo refere, por fim, a utilidade da Técnica da Caixa de Areia e as suas indicações terapêuticas.
After an introduction referring to the origins of the Sandbox Technique and the authors responsible for its study and divulgation. The article describes the main phases of the psychic development accordin to C. G. Jung and E. Neumann - two authors whose theories support the Sandbox process. Then follows the characterization of the material used and the therapeutic procedure. It is also described the natural evolution of the Sandbox pictures and its interpretation in terms of the psychological development of the individuals. The article finally mentions the utility of the andbox Technique and also the way in wich different patients may benefit from this process.
