Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho teve por objectivo a análise
dos efeitos das variáveis idade, sexo e nível sócio-
-cultural no auto-conceito e na auto-estima, de sujeitos
pré-adolescentes.
A 586 sujeitos a frequentarem o terceiro, quarto,
quinto ou sexto ano de escolaridade, foi administrada
a escala de auto-conceito de Susan Harter.
Os resultados mostram uma influência da variável
idade para todos os domínios considerados e das variáveis
sexo e nível sócio-cultural para algumas áreas
específicas do auto-conceito.
ABSTRACT: The aim of this work is the analysis of the age, sex and socio-cultural level effect in the self-concept and self-esteem, in pre-adolescence. The Harter’s self-concept scale was administered to 586 subjects in third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade. The results show the influence of age in every domain considered and the influence of sex and sociocultural level in some self-concept specific’s domains.
