O presente estudo tem como objetivo perceber se existem diferenças entre Empresas Familiares e Empresas não Familiares, ao nível das Perspetivas de Progressão de Carreira, Intenções de Turnover e Desempenho Percecionado, assim como perceber qual a relação entre estas três variáveis em Empresas Familiares.
Na presente investigação colaboraram 199 participantes (101 pertencentes a Empresas Familiares e 98 a Empresas não Familiares), que participaram de maneira voluntária, através do preenchimento de um questionário online.
Os resultados obtidos demonstraram que não existem diferenças significativas entre Empresas Familiares e Empresas não Familiares ao nível das três variáveis em estudo. Através de duas regressões lineares, verificou-se que a Perspetiva de Progressão de Carreira dos colaboradores de Empresas Familiares exerce um efeito significativo e positivo no Desempenho Percecionado e um efeito significativo e negativo nas Intenções de Turnover.
ABSTRACT: The following study aims to understand if Family and Non-Businesses disclose any differences regarding their employees Perceived Career Opportunities, Turnover Intensions and Perceived Performance and further acknowledge the link between these three variables in Family Businesses. This investigation includes the contribution of 199 active workers (101 from Family Businesses and 98 from Non-Family Businesses), who voluntarily filled an online questionnaire. The results of the study demonstrate that there is no significative distinctness between Family and Non-Family Businesses, concerning their employees Perceived Career Opportunities, Turnover Intensions and Perceived Performance. Moreover, through two linear regressions, the relation between the three variables in Family Businesses, allow us to recognize how the Perceived Career Opportunities has a significant and positive influence on their Perceived Performance and a significant and negative influence on their Turnover Intensions.
