Abstract(s)
A escala
A escala apresenta bons índices
The main goal of this research is to develop and validate a new multifactor scale of working motivation for the Portuguese population. The lack of motivation measuring instruments lead to the development and elaboration of this motivation scale. It includes 28 items resulting from a theoretical research project in motivational theories. The validation study was obtained from a sample of 444 workers from hitech enterprises of both sexes and with ages between 19 and 34 years. Results show high levels of internal consistence (reliability scores between 0,72 and 0,84) and a factorial analysis which revealed a tetrafactorial structure with 49% of explained variance: work structure motivation, achievement and power motivation, commitment motivation and goalsetting motivation. It is hope that future approaches and studies may result from this new factorial scale of motivation.
