A hipertensĆ£o arterial (HTA) Ć© uma situação clĆnica
importante com uma enorme repercussão na saúde pública.
Apesar da aceitação do papel dos factores psico-
-sociais, permanece controverso o seu papel etiopatogƩnico.
O objectivo do presente estudo foi investigar
as possĆveis relaƧƵes entre o perfil psicológico (atravĆ©s
da Prova de Rorschach) de 41 doentes com HTA, a
adesão terapêutica e o grau de atingimento dos orgãos-
-alvo.
Após a apresentação e discussão dos resultados são
abordados aspectos da metodologia de investigação e
as possĆveis implicaƧƵes do estudo do perfil psicológico
dos doentes com HTA.
Hypertension is a critical issue of public health. Despite the agreement about the involvement of psychosocial factors there is still controversy about their etiopathogenic role. The aim of the present study was to investigate possible relations between the psychological profile of 41 hypertensive patients, assessed by the Rorschachā projective technique, the leve1 of patientā compliance and the degree of severity of hypertension. Results are presented and discussed, as well as the methodological problems of assessment strategies. Current implications of the study of the hypertensive psychological profile are considered.
