Este artigo pretende relatar a investigação que foi
feita no Departamento de Psicologia Clínica da Maternidade
Dr. Alfredo da Costa, na área da esterilidade
psicogénea feminina.
O problema da esterilidade psicogénea na mulher
é em geral causa de perturbação e sofrimento psíquico,
como tal, parece-nos particularmente importante
todas as abordagens que permitam uma melhor
aproximação a compreensão dos mecanismos psicológicos
ou subjacentes e/ou envolvidos no seu despoletar.
Nesse sentido procuramos estudar factores
psicológicos e psicossociais conscientes e/ou
inconscientes que se encontrem correlacionados com
o fenómeno da esterilidade psicogénea.
