| dc.description.abstract | A adição à internet é um problema relativamente recente, mas que tem cada vez mais peso no nosso quotidiano. O presente trabalho visa compreender a relação entre o narcisismo, Fear of Missing Out e a adição à internet. Para tal, foi designado um estudo correlacional que permitisse testar a relação entre os três fenómenos em questão. Foram recolhidos dados de 54 indivíduos de ambos os sexos com as idades entre 18 e 28 anos. Foram utilizadas três escalas diferentes, sendo que cada uma delas mediu um dos construtos. Após à interpretação dos resultados obtidos confirmou-se a existência de uma relação entre a dependência da internet e o Fear of Missing Out, sendo que o narcisismo não demonstrou qualquer relação com estes dois fenómenos. O presente estudo confirma a existência de novos construtos que podem ser ligadas â questão de adição à internet, sugerindo assim novas propostas de investigação. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Internet Addiction is a relatively recent problem, but one that has more and more weight in our daily live. The present study aims at understand the relationship between narcissism, Fear of Missing Out and the Internet Addiction. Thus, a correlation study was designed to test the relationship between the three phenomena. Data were collected from 54 individuals of both sexes with age between of 18 and 28 years. Three different scales were used, each one measured one of the phenomena. After the interpretation of the results, a relationship between Internet Addiction and Fear of Missing Out was confirmed, as narcissism showed no relation to these two topics. The present study verifies the existence of new constructs that can be linked to the Internet Addiction phenomena, thus suggesting new research proposals. | pt_PT |
