A relação terapêutica na prática clínica e na supervisão : Um estudo qualitativo com psicoterapeutas

Problema: A investigação na área da supervisão clínica tem enfatizado a influência que esta tem no psicoterapeuta e no paciente mas não explorou o modo como a visão da relação terapêutica pode ter um impacto nestes resultados. Objectivo: O presente estudo pretende compreender a influência da supervisão clínica sobre a relação terapêutica, segundo a perspectiva de psicoterapeutas cognitivo-comportamentais e psicodinâmicos, dado serem modelos teóricos que perspectivam a relação de formas muito distintas. Método: Foram realizadas dez entrevistas semiestruturadas a cinco psicoterapeutas de cada modelo teórico. Resultados: Os resultados foram analisados segundo o método da análise temática, que permitiu encontrar quatro temas relativos à visão da relação: “Actores da relação”; “Relação profissional e humana”; “Relação como ferramenta”; e “Função da experiência subjectiva do terapeuta”. Além disso, a elaboração da relação em supervisão foi dada por dois temas: “Foco da supervisão” e “Análise dos casos clínicos”. Por último, foi encontrado o tema “Influência da supervisão”. Discussão: A supervisão clínica exerceu uma influência sobre o psicoterapeuta, contribuindo para o ganho de conhecimento, constituindo-se como modelo para a sua intervenção, e apoiando-o emocionalmente. Foi discutida a influência dos modelos teóricos sobre a visão da relação terapêutica e a supervisão.
Problem: Research in the area of clinical supervision has emphasized the influence it has on the psychotherapist and the patient but has not explored how the view of the therapeutic relationship may have an impact on these outcomes. Objective: The present study aims to understand the influence of clinical supervision on the therapeutic relationship from the perspective of cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic psychotherapists, since these are theoretical models that view the relationship in very different ways. Method: Ten semi-structured interviews were conducted with five psychotherapists from each theoretical model. Results: The results were analyzed using the method of thematic analysis, which allowed finding four themes concerning the view of the relationship: "Actors of the relationship"; "Professional and human relationship"; "Relationship as a tool"; and "Role of the therapist's subjective experience". In addition, the elaboration of the relationship in supervision was given by two themes: "Focus of supervision" and "Analysis of clinical cases". Finally, the theme "Influence of supervision" was found. Discussion: Clinical supervision exerted an influence on the psychotherapist, contributing to the gain of knowledge, constituting a model for his intervention, and supporting him emotionally. The influence of theoretical models on the view of the therapeutic relationship and supervision was discussed.
