A autora realizou entrevistas clínicas a sete crianças/
adolescentes que tinham realizado, recentemente,
um transplante renal, com rim de cadáver.
Através da análise dessas entrevistas procurou
descrever: a) as fantasias que as crianças/adolescentes
teciam acerca do órgão inserido no seu corpo; b) o
confronto entre as expectativas face ao transplante renal
e a realidade vivida no pós-transplante.
This article is a report on clinical interviews conducted with seven children/adolescents who had recently undergone kidney transplants. Through the analysis of these interviews, the author attempts to describe: a) the fantasies that the children/ ladolescents developed concerning the organ introduced in their bodies; b) the comparison between their expectations before the transpiant and the realities faced afterwards.
