Passam-se em revista neste artigo vários aspectos
relacionados com a intervenção psicológica na prevenção
da SIDA. As questões da prevenção e do
aconselhamento são abordadas, do ponto de vista
do desenvolvimento de uma cada vez mais significativa
intervenção dos psicólogos nos serviços de saúde.
ABSTRACT: An overview of some of the issues and problems related to psychological intervention on AIDS and human imrnunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection is presented. Prevention and counselling are examined in relation to the development of a psychological intervention on AIDS. Because there is no effective vaccine, psychosocial models may provide khe oniy tools to stem the spread of AIDS. So, there is a recognition of the many potential areas of application of psychological knowledge to the fight against AIDS.
