Abstract(s)
Solidariedade Social (IPSS).
ABSTRACT: As part of the curricular unit of Supervised Practice in Kindergarten, integrates the master's degree in Pre-School Education (PSE), leading to a Master's in PSE from ISPA - Instituto Universitario, this report is entitled “Sense of belonging - growing up in a group”. The supervised practice took place in a kindergarten room, with a group of children aged between three and four, in a Private Social Solidarity Institution. The qualitative research questions emerged from personal concerns about the emergence of a sense of belonging in the respective group of children. Participant observation, field notes and interviews were used to gather data to answer the research questions. In addition, readings on the subject were compiled and synthesized in a reflective analysis of the data collected. Final considerations highlight the importance of relationships, participation, acceptance, and inclusion in growing a sense of belonging in a group, as well as the role of the educator, with their educational intentions, knowledge, and attitudes, in strengthening interpersonal relationships and making the kindergarten a place of belonging for and of everyone.
