Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT: In this paper we present the paradigm that underlies the illusion of truth effect – the phenomenon showing that familiar statements are judged as truer than new ones. The basic paradigm is described in detail, as well as the main moderator variables of the effect and the main theories that attempt to explain it.
