Abstract(s)
Neste trabalho é feita uma identificação e caracterização
de duas metateorias biopsicossociais: a hierárquica
ou interaccionista que se defende estar subjacente
à Psicologia da Saúde ao longo destas duas décadas,
e a integradora ou dialéctica, a qual se sugere
que deva orientar esta disciplina. Para se perceber as
implicações, para a Psicologia da Saúde, da adesão a
uma ou outra metateoria, é feito um contraste teórico e
metodológico entre as duas, através da referência a
vários temas: interdisciplinaridade e equipa profissional,
relação corpo-espírito, autonomia conceitual-
-afectiva da pessoa, relação técnico-utente, adesão do
paciente às acções preventivas e aos tratamentos e didácticas
de saúde e doença.
ABSTRACT: Two biopsychosocial metatheories are identified and characterized: the hierarchical or interactionist, has been the background conceptual framework for Health Psychology in the last two decades, and the integrative or dialectical, that is proposed as the inspiration to this discipline. A theoretical and methodological contrast between these two metatheories is presented with reference to several items: cross-disciplinary work and team work, mind-body relationship, person’s conceptual-affective autonomy, therapistclient relationship, compliance with preventive/curative regimens and health and disease didactics, in order to understand their implications to Health Psychology.
