Abstract(s)
A noção de natureza discursiva e narrativa do
conhecimento tem caracterizado aquilo que alguns
autores têm definido como a segunda revolução
cognitiva. Neste artigo são discutidas algumas
contribuições da narrativa psicológica para a
psicologia da saúde. Mais especificamente são
discutidas três questões: (i) será que as narrativas que
contamos acerca de acontecimentos significativos da
nossa vida podem contribuir para a nossa saúde fisica
e mental?; (2) quais as características destas narrativas
que as tomam terapeuticamente eficazes?; (3) será que
existem narrativas típicas do adoecer?
ABSTRACT: The discursive or narrative nature of knowledge has been acknowledge by severa1 authors as the main characteristic of a second cognitive revolution. This paper discusses some contributions of narrative psychology to health psychology. More specifically three questions are discussed: 1. Can the narratives that we te11 about significant personal events contribute to our physical and mental health?; 2. Which are the characteristics of these narratives allowing their effícacy?; 3. Are there any typical narratives of getting sick?.
