Abstract(s)

Os autores verificaram que a diferenciação do comportamento em ratos colocados aos pares numa situação de competição alimentar com solução instrumental, está correlacionada com o tipo de «estratégias» de resposta operante que os sujeitos adoptam individualmente. Estas «estratégias» parecem ser adaptativas à situação, e é possível alterá-las modificando o programa de reforço utilizado. Os autores analisam os resultados comparando-os aos de vários investigadores que se debruçaram sobre este problema do parasitismo social, quer no rato quer noutras espécies. ------- ABSTRACT ------ The authors found that the behavioural differenciation in pairs of rats submitted to food competition in an operant setting, is correlated with the type of "strategy" adopted by each subject. Such strategies seem to be adaptative to the situation and it is possible to change them through the control of the schedule of reinforcement utilised. Results were analysed and compared to these of other researchers who brought evidence of social parasitism in the rat and other species, as well.
