ABSTRACT: The present report entitled “The natural environment as learning promoter in kindergartens” aims to highlight the children interaction with nature, once this is a natural promoter space of learning and holistic development of the child. In several places in the report the various benefits of the contact with nature and its importance for child development are evidenced, once is in open spaces that children have more opportunities to challenge themselves and find their limits, as well as putting them in direct contact with the elements of nature, making learning more stimulating and meaningful. In front of this it becomes necessary to aware and challenge education professionals to provide more moments of exploration and interaction with nature, because despite of being a “little space” that resource is full of stimuli and learnings for the children. This report introduces activities carried out in and with nature, highlighting the potential of these spaces for the process of learning and development of children and their capacities of imagination and creativity.
