| dc.description.abstract | Problema: A Violência Conjugal é um tema cada vez mais pertinente, dada a sua importância e influência na vida de cada um. A literatura não é clara quanto às diferenças existentes entre indivíduos que nunca experienciaram violência conjugal, e sujeitos que já experienciaram, nem da relação deles com as suas crenças, competências emocionais, comportamentos antissociais, e ainda sexo, idade e habilitações literárias. Objetivo: Compreender a influência que a violência tem sobre indivíduos, fazendo uma comparação entre quem já experienciou e quem nunca experienciou violência conjugal relativamente às suas crenças sobre a violência, competências emocionais e comportamentos antissociais. Método: 324 indivíduos de todos os géneros, com idades compreendidas entre os 18 e os 49 anos, que estejam ou já tenham estado em alguma relação. Os instrumentos utilizados foram o Antissocial Spectrum Scale, a Escala de Crenças da Violência Conjugal, o Inventário da Violência Conjugal e o Questionário de Competências Emocionais. Resultados: Os resultados obtidos demonstraram evidências na associação entre a variável competências emocionais e crenças sobre a violência. Nas restantes hipóteses, não foram encontradas relações estatisticamente significativas, que vai contra a literatura, exceto na variável sexo e competências emocionais/comportamentos antissociais, onde se conclui que na primeira, as mulheres possuem mais competências, e na última, os homens apresentam maior nível deste tipo de atitudes. Discussão: Dada a escassez de resultados estatisticamente significativos e contrários ao que a literatura diz, é importante refletir sobre os mesmos, encontrando limitações, de forma a auxiliar também futuros estudos nesta área. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Problem: Marital violence is an increasingly relevant topic, for its importance and influence in the live of every person. The literature is not clear about the differences between those who have never experienced conjugal violence, and subjects who have already experienced it, nor about their relationship with their beliefs, emotional competences, antisocial behavior, and also gender, age and literary abilities. Objective: To understand the influence that violence has on individuals, making a comparison between those who have experienced and those who have never experienced domestic violence in terms of their beliefs about violence, emotional skills, and antisocial behavior. Method: 324 individuals of all genders, with ages between 18 and 49 years old, that are or where in any relation. The instruments used where the Antisocial Spectrum Scale, Marital Violence Beliefs Scale, Marital Violence Inventory and The Social Competences Survey. Results: The obtained results show evidence in the association between the emotional competences variable and believes about violence. In the remaining hypotheses, it was not found statistically significant , that goes against the literature, except in the gender and emotional competences/antisocial behaviors variables, where it concludes that in the first, woman have more competences, and in the last, man show a higher level of these type of attitudes Discussion: Because of the shortage of statistically significant results and opposed to what the literature says, its important to think about them, to find limitations, in a way to help other studies in this matter. | pt_PT |
