Abstract(s)
(24.130); SPORT SPONSORSHIP: THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TEAM LOYALTY, SPONSORSHIP AWARENESS, ATTITUDE TOWARD THE SPONSOR, AND PURCHASE INTENTIONS (16.401) e ESTUDOS SOBRE A INTERVENÇÃO PRECOCE EM PORTUGAL: IDEIAS DOS ESPECIALISTAS, DOS PROFISSIONAIS E DAS FAMÍLIAS (12.339).
Introduction: Every October, the Documentation Center participates at the International Open Access Week, with several initiatives and activities in collaboration with the Repository team. One of such activities aims to develop a study with data about the evolution of the institutional repository. This study is presented as a poster, along a year, in the computers’ room, archived in the repository and disseminated through the microsite to the entire academic community. This initiative aims to communicate the importance of open access institutional repositories as information systems in the model of dissemination and publication of scientific knowledge. The present poster aims to trace the evolution and characterization of the ISPA’s repository (2009-2017) and its contributions to Open Science. Main purpose: To sharing the experience and work carried out in an institution of higher education, ISPA – University Institute, presenting the evolution of the ISPA’s repository, through performance indicators of both content and use. Method: ISPA’s repository statistics set, through indicators’ descriptive analysis. Results: Created in October 2009, ISPA’s repository includes 25 communities, 104 collections and offers 5,729 documents (50% articles from national and international journals and 40% thesis and master's dissertations). The average number of deposits per year is 636. The content analysis indicates that, in 2017, the magical number of one million downloads was reached, most of them – 75% – by Portuguese-speaking countries: Portugal and Brazil. The authors that offer more available articles in the repository are: João Marôco, Vítor Almada, Isabel Leal, and Rui Oliveira. The communities that include most documents are: Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology and Health Psychology. Analyzing the use reveals that the top three downloaded papers are: HOW RELIABLE IS CRONBACH'S ALPHA? OLD ISSUES AND MODERN SOLUTIONS? (24,130); SPORT SPONSORSHIP: THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TEAM LOYALTY, SPONSORSHIP AWARENESS, ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE SPONSOR, AND PURCHASE INTENTIONS (16,401), and STUDIES ON EARLY INTERVENTION IN PORTUGAL: IDEAS OF SPECIALISTS, PROFESSIONALS AND FAMILIES (12,339). Finally, the top three downloaded authors are: João Marôco (70,876); Isabel Pereira Leal (34,176), and Teresa Garcia-Marques (33,274). ISPA’s repository profile includes 75% of open access documents, 20% of restricted access, and 5% of embargoed access. Conclusions: The release of annual statistics of the repository’s evolution to the academic community denotes transparency on the process and allows the monitoring of the performance by the supporting team in its management and administration. The work presented aims to contribute to the importance of Open Access repositories as a new way of communication in science. We believe that the keywords ‘communication’, ‘dissemination’ and ‘impacts of institutional repositories’ are the present in the future, as a quality guarantee in Open Access and in contributions to Open Science.
