dc.description.abstract | O Mindfulness tem sido alvo de um crescente interesse, tanto no domรญnio social, como no da Psicologia, tendo sido encontrados, em diversos estudos, benefรญcios no รขmbito do bem-estar e diminuiรงรฃo de sintomas psicopatolรณgicos. Considerou-se assim pertinente avaliar o impacto destas prรกticas tambรฉm num contexto nacional para uma maior sustentaรงรฃo das mesmas. Este estudo avalia o impacto do programa de Mindfulness adaptado a crianรงas Mindful Schools, numa escola do primeiro ciclo do ensino bรกsico, nas variรกveis concentraรงรฃo, auto-conceito, regulaรงรฃo emocional e competรชncias interpessoais. Este รฉ um estudo quasi-experimental realizado num total de 4 turmas, duas delas pertencentes ao programa de intervenรงรฃo (1ยบ e 4ยบ) e duas ao grupo de controlo (1ยบ e 4ยบ). Nas turmas onde nรฃo foi aplicado o programa foram tambรฉm aplicados os instrumentos de avaliaรงรฃo das variรกveis no perรญodo prรฉ e pรณs-programa de intervenรงรฃo. O programa teve um impacto positivo significativo nos nรญveis de concentraรงรฃo no 1ยบano, na dimensรฃo รญndice de dispersรฃo e no 1ยบ e 4ยบano na dimensรฃo rendimento de trabalho, em comparaรงรฃo com o grupo de controlo. Relativamente ao auto-conceito, no 4ยบano o programa teve um impacto mais positivo em quatro das dimensรตes, em comparaรงรฃo com o grupo de controlo; e no 1ยบano em duas. Na variรกvel regulaรงรฃo emocional foi tambรฉm encontrado um impacto positivo significativo no 1ยบano. dc.description.abstract | Mindfulness has been subject of growing interest, both in the social domain and Psychology, and several studies have found benefits in well-being and reduction of pathological symptoms. It was therefore considered relevant to evaluate the impact of these practices in a national context for greater sustainability. This study evaluates the impact of the mindfulness program for children Mindful Schools, in a primary school, in the variables concentration, self-concept, emotional regulation and interpersonal skills. This is a quasi-experimental study conducted in a total of 4 classes, two of them belonging to the intervention program (1st and 4th) and two of them to the control group (1st and 4th). In the classes where the program was not applied, the instruments of evaluation were applied in the period before and after the intervention program. The program had a significant positive impact on the levels of concentration in the first year, in the dispersion index dimension and in the 1st and 4th year in the work income dimension, compared to the control group. Regarding the self-concept, in the 4th year the program had a more positive impact on four dimensions compared to the control group; in the 1st year in two of them. In the emotional regulation variable, a significant positive impact was also found in the 1st year. Regarding interpersonal skills, no differences were found before and after the program. | pt_PT |
