Neste artigo apresentamos os estudos sobre as inferĂȘncias com frases condicionais, do tipo âSe A,
entĂŁo Câ, como o paradigma experimental que tem sido privilegiado para estudar a raciocĂnio
dedutivo. Iremos referir os efeitos principais que foram encontrados desde os estudos originais, bem
como as diversas explicaçÔes teóricas de que a psicologia dispÔe atualmente para explicar esses
efeitos. Serão realçadas as metodologias habitualmente utilizadas, variåveis moderadoras e
moduladoras, bem como alguns exemplos do uso do paradigma.
In this paper we present studies about inferences with conditional sentences of the kind âIf A, then Câ, that became the paradigmatic method to study deductive reasoning. We are going to mention the main effects found in this domain and since the earlier studies, as well as the main psychological theories to explain these effects. Usual methods, examples, and variable, are also going to be presented.
