Abstract(s)
O estudo da Cooperação em contexto organizacional não é vasto, devendo-se aferir a relação deste constructo com outras variáveis organizacionais. Tomando-se como ponto de partida as semelhanças encontradas entre os contextos desportivo e organizacional, aplicou-se um modelo teórico de Cooperação Desportiva ao contexto organizacional português. Considerando os escassos estudos sobre as Estratégias de Gestão de Conflitos em contexto organizacional português, assim como a sua associação à Cooperação Organizacional, a presente investigação teve como objectivo estudar a relação existente entre Cooperação Organizacional e Desempenho Individual, a par do efeito mediador da Estratégia de Gestão de Conflitos nesta relação.
Participaram no estudo 320 sujeitos, afectos a organizações de diferentes sectores de actividade portugueses, com uma média de 35 anos de idades e predominância do género feminino (55%).
O estudo das qualidades métricas dos instrumentos utilizados permite concluir da existência de alterações ao modelo conceptual original da Cooperação, tendo resultado uma estrutura factorial com duas dimensões (Cooperação Condicionada e Cooperação Incondicionada). Da mesma forma, a escala de Estratégia de Gestão de Conflitos apresenta uma estrutura unifactorial.
Não obstante não se verificar o efeito mediador da Estratégia de Gestão de Conflitos, os resultados indicam que a Cooperação Organizacional Incondicionada está particularmente associada ao Desempenho Individual.
ABSTRACT: The study of Cooperation in organizations is not vast, and one should assess the relationship of this construct with other organizational variables. Taking as starting point the similarities found between the sporting and organizational contexts, it applied a theoretical model of the Portuguese Sports Cooperation to the organizational context. Considering the few studies on Conflict Management Strategies in Portuguese organizational context, as well as its membership with Organizational Cooperation, this research aimed to study the relationship between Organizational Cooperation and Individual Performance alongside the mediator effect Conflict Management Strategy in this regard. 320 subjects participated in the study, assigned to organizations of different Portuguese industries, with an average of 35 years of age and predominance of females (55%). The study of metric qualities of the instruments allows finding of changes to the original conceptual model of cooperation, and results in a factorial structure with two dimensions (Unconditioned Cooperation and Conditioned Cooperation). Likewise, the scale conflict management strategy has a univariate structure. Despite not verify the mediating effect of Conflict Management Strategy, the results indicate that the Unconditioned Organizational Cooperation is particularly associated with the Individual Performance.
