ABSTRACT: Objective: The aim of this study was to contribute to the scale validation Quality of Life (QoL) of Gill et al. (2010) in Portuguese. Another purpose of this study is to analyze the correlation between quality of life (QOL) in psychological terms and the practice of physical activity (PA) and realize indicators of Subjective Fatigue in PA and other behaviors related to health. Method: Translation and retroversion of QoL instrument. The final questionnaire used included Quality of Life Assessment adapted to Portuguese, the 12-item Health Survey (SF-12), and the Checklist of Individual Strength (CIS20) and was applied to a sample of 322 participants (70.2% females, M age = 38.9). Results: Through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) it was found that adjustment indexes are appropriate (χ²/gl=2.33; GFI=.84; CFI=.91; RMSEA=.064). QOL scale and its dimensions have good internal consistency, the scale has a Cronbach's alpha of .94, and this value in dimensions ranging between .83 and .91. The sensitivity of the items all have absolute values of skewness and kurtosis below 3 and 8 respectively (Kline, 1998). The results obtained found that the state of Sand r=,222; p=.000 for QOL. Noted also that fatigue mediation has a partial effect on the QOL (Z = 6.31), health decreases its effect but does not nullify entirely. Fatigue has a full mediation effect on the relationship between practice of PA and QoL (Sobel test with Z = 5.24).
