Neste artigo pretende-se questionar a opção epistemológica
da Psicologia da Saúde, assente em modelos
que o autor considera mecanicistas e neutralizadores da
subjectividade experiencial do ser-doente. A postura fenomenológica
e a compreensão existencial do ser-doente
são apresentadas como aportes vantajosos para a Psicologia
da Saúde, já que permitem uma aproximação ao
paciente, evitando o perigo da medicalização da Psicologia.
Our aim is to question the epistemological option carried by Health psychology, based in models considered by the author as distant form the experiential subjectivity of the being-sick. The phenomenological attitude and the existential comprehension of the beingsick are presented as interesting new ways of work in Health Psychology, as they facilitate a truly being-with the client, preventing the today tendency of transforming Psychology in a kind of medicine.
