O modelo de reabilitação psiquiátrica tem sido
reconhecido e escolhido por diversos técnicos como
um dos melhores métodos de trabalho com doentes
mentais. Embora se trate de um campo recente, possui
já um corpo teórico sólido e numerosas investigações
provaram a validade dos seus princípios e técnicas.
ABSTRACT: Psychiatric rehabilitation is an increasingly recognized approach for working with persons with psychiatric disabilities. Although it is a relatively new field it has a well developed philosophy, and principles and pratice that flows from that philosophy. There is a growing body of evidence that suggests that psychiatric rehabilitation positively affects rehabilitation outcome, It has, in many places, become the prefered approach for working with the psychiatrically disabled population.
