As Perturbações de Comportamento Externalizante são uma das principais razões pelas quais as
crianças em idade pré-escolar são encaminhadas para os serviços de saúde mental. No entanto, não há
ainda consenso relativamente ao diagnóstico destas perturbações nesta faixa etária.
Com a presente revisão da literatura, pretende-se contribuir para uma caraterização geral das
Perturbações de Comportamento Externalizante, designadamente da Perturbação de Oposição, em
idade pré-escolar, bem como refletir sobre as dificuldades de diagnóstico nesta faixa etária e sobre as
diferentes trajetórias desenvolvimentais envolvidas na emergência destas perturbações. É ainda nosso
objetivo identificar os principais fatores etiológicos implicados na sua origem e lançar algumas pistas
para futuras investigações.
Externalizing Behavior Disorder (EBD) are one of the major causes for searching mental health services in preschool children. However, there still is no agreement to what concerns making diagnoses in preschool years. With this literature review, it’s our goal to make a general description of EBD, specially Oppositional Disorder, in preschool years, and also to discuss about the difficulties in diagnosing in this period and the different developmental trajectories implicated in the emergence of EBD. Another goal is to identify the main etiological factors for the development of EBD and to reflect about some orientations to future research.
