The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between mindfulness, cognitive distraction and difficulty with orgasm. The study involved 924 people, 644 women (70%) and 277 men (30%). The results showed that mindfulness is a factor associated with difficulty with orgasm. The “observe” facet emerges positively associated with cognitive distraction based on appearance. In turn, facets “acting with conscience” and “not judging” appear negatively related to difficulty with orgasm. The results showed the predictive factors of difficulty with orgasm in women are: time of relation of compression, lack of sexual interest, cognitive distraction based on appearance and performance, the facet observing of mindfulness and facet acted with conscience. Regarding predicted factors of difficulty with orgasm in men are: time of commitment relationship, lack of sexual interest and performance-based cognitive distraction. In the present study, it was found that women have more cognitive distraction based on appearance and men have more performance-based cognitive distraction. This study has the advantage of relating three well-known concepts separately, but little developed together. The results confirm the role of mindfulness in sexuality, that is, it can be a strategy for people to combat one of the greatest sexual difficulties.
